Egyptian Agency of Partnerships for Development
The Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) serves as the development arm of the Arab Republic of Egypt. It is mandated to support the peoples and nations of the Global South in their pursuit of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Africa’s Agenda 2063. As an African country, Egypt places particular emphasis on advancing development efforts across the continent through the Agency’s activities, which include: capacity-building programs such as specialized training courses and scholarships, dispatching experts, humanitarian assistance, and the implementation of various development projects. At the same time, the Agency’s scope extends to other geographical regions of the Global South, tailoring its development cooperation to the priorities and needs of each partner country.

In this context, the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) plays a pivotal role in sharing the expertise of Egyptian institutions to support the United Nations Development Goals and to help realize the aspirations of people for prosperity and sustainable growth.

Since its establishment in 2014, the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development (EAPD) has been led by five distinguished Ambassadors who have played a pivotal role in consolidating the Agency’s mandate, enhancing its working mechanisms, and strengthening its presence on the international stage, thereby advancing the path of cooperation with the countries of the Global South.
